Builders, bar stools and bashing head on wall

You know it's going to be one of THOSE days when workers on your roof accidentally cut off your phone line as you attempt to transmit a large bit of work, you realise you stupidly missed a rather important vital notecard and you forgot to put an announced gift in your subscribo.
Herb trio now in there; go grab it here.

But anyway...

Sneak preview of some new stuff as in 3-prim, 4-pose, 5-colour VENT DU SUD bar stool for just 30L (just for a couple of days, then it goes up)

Where? In the bottom half of the tree haven (have to make you work a BIT). Look for, er, a big tree. Or if you like here's a direct TP.

Another photo and showing off HOC Industries Swype sneakers below too, which are great and cheap and colour change and I could live in them RL and SL.

Ah yes and colour strip. Want bright pink? Orange? Blue? Ask and it shall be done.  The bar that goes with it will be at the main store soon too so please, other colour theme suggestions welcomed.

Back to work and trying oh so hard not to shoot builders as I would rather like my roof to be watertight by tonight. Oh, and a working connection (rushes off to bribe workers with coffee and cake).

Blank on Monday

No, my photography isn't worse than usual. Nor am I trying for 'fancy effects'.

Logged on this morning to find that yet again somebody hadn't bothered with the 'off' switch on Menthal's great dance floor mist machine (except it was purple and... purple is not my favourite colour). Great gizmo though and apparently it's selling really well. Go check it out (but please TURN IT OFF after!)

So, anxious to avoid work, I started musing about colour and tinting, mainly because last night I tried on the new group gift from Kunglers (50L very well spent, may I add). LOVED both parts, but not together. So having tweaked the skirt to fit, I added the bare top from Coco and tinted it.

I have to say that I tend to buy a LOT of white or light-coloured, modifiable clothes and tint them. Just call me thrifty :)

Did you know, btw, that if you hit advanced / UI / show color under cursor you can match just about anything? Go try it: you get the RGB values of whatever's under your cursor shown to the bottom right of the screen. Small warning though... it tends to do weird things on taking photos, i.e. turning the dialogue box transparent. So unclick again for snapshots.

Anyway, that gave me an idea for the more adventurous shoppers among you.

I've blogged about my pile of pillows with a whole lot of anims in them before. A lot of my furniture packs have matching sets of them thrown in (but they're available separately too) -.have a wander around and see some of the different colours and check out the nPose goodness. Copiable, 100L.

So, as it's Monday, and 'blank' describes me rather well (my desk is groaning under work, none of which appeals much), I've put out a BLANK set you can modify, and copy. Meaning playtime if you'd like to experiment with colours and / or fabrics

Even better, the offsets are all pre-done so that you can apply shaded textures without tweaking too, making it even easier.

6 prims the lot, and really, a LOT of pre-installed anims, including 3 couples' poses, friends' sets, solo...

... including one I'd vastly prefer to stay on rather than attack a  Monday morning (ohmmmmm).

Where? Either direct tp here
Or just look for the brand new Vent du Sud Tree Haven - visible from the main square even with lowish draw distances (and yes, going to blog about it soon).

How long? 48 hours max.

Price? 150L for endless colours, tints and comfy seating. And meditation early on a Monday.

Happy Monday!

SMOOTHIE TIME

The first set in the all new Vent du Sud Smoothie line is out!

Yes, this is me feeling like I've been through the wringer, having just ironed out a script glitch in one of the pose sets on the couch (this - THIS is why it's worth giving stuff to friends to beta before you let them loose). Phew.

And iron out I did. And beta they did.

The best bit is hitting 'swap' and seeing everybody change position. Little things please little minds, y'know.

Soooo, things are starting to emerge again at Vent du Sud. RL has been busy. Still is, but I'm having a blast with the new stuff.

(Rett, btw, has been sick but she's back and raring to go so watch out for more fashion newness too - give her a hug if you see her!)

More things (LOTS more things) to come later, but basically, the new patio set is out, with great (mostly animated) poses for singles, friends, couples (including one for people who like to lie on the floor, like me).

Find it by the pool beside the Vent du Sud store. NPose system. No poseballs. No giving permission to sit on it. Just click, swap, and enjoy.

Full instructions too although it boils down to this: click the cushions - the seat and the scatter cushions - and they change (4 pretty pastel colours and d'oh forgot a photo showing blue. There's blue in there too). Click the rest and you get to the poses.

Yes, there are two really cute couples poses too. No, I didn't take photos of them as yesterday was Sunday and SL felt like making photo-taking into a rather rough ride. Grab a friend and try them.

Colours: pretty. Soft, dusty pastels (like smoothies, y'know). Four of them plus three soft patterns for the scatter cushions. Shadows.

Can you tell I'm pleased with this?

Tip: lots more summer Smoothie goodies are nearly ready, and there will be surprises in the subscribo when I get where I'm going (or possibly when I get back). So go make with the clicking on it, in front of the store.

Off to pack.

Oh and PS: the older patio set is still out and the whole set is reduced considerably. Go look.
